Welcome aboard. I would suggest reading as many of the posts as you can, and don't be afraid to ask questions on the board. Good luck, and let us know how you like the JWX.

To all new members

Hey guys and gals. I want to welcome all the new members to the group. I've noticed that not many people have introduced themselves yet. I want to take this opportunity to encourage the new members to jump in and take full advantage of what this group has to offer. It can be overwhelming at first, b...

Pat,
I would love to know what type of bit, spindle speeds, etc you used to mill the brass piece. I've mill some silver block a couple of time with mixed results. If it's a lot different from the wax parameters maybe we can start new topic for metal milling in the modela group.

Terry,
Welcome to the group. The forum is the best resource you could ask for. Where in Greenville are you working? I'm in a store in Easley.

welcome

Welcome to the club. The best advice is to read through the posts and download some of the files to see how people have created reliefs, etc. I'd suggest a nice shop vac for the wax dust, too. Milling is addictive. If you have any questions just ask the group, they have been very helpful for me. Goo...

Welcome aboard

Just wanted to say welcome to the group. By the way, it's a huge addiction. I hope you own a decent shop vac. I have a mini shop vac that I have to empty every couple of days. Have fun

great job

Just wanted to let Jeff know that the emerald cut ring looks great. Also, The mill has been great this season. My only complaint is that I may have taken in more work than I can handle. It's a great problem to have. Well, I'm off to work... One more week. Happy Holidays to you guys.

Tool directions

Colin, I originally had a problem with the step look to some of my waxes. I later realized that I had set my tool path for the final pass to just the y-axis. When I switched it to an x and y pass it worked great. I've been using a .25 mm ball bit from grobet to do all my fine cutting. I can't rememb...

Nice job

Great work... Keep the pics coming. I read your profile. I had a roommate my sophomore year at college from Wooster. His name was David Smith. We called him Generic Dave.

Welcome

Welcome to the group. It's a great tool, and these guys have always been willing to help. I would love to see anything you do with the watches. I've been toying with the idea of trying to make one. My only problem is that I've only ever changed batteries and pins, so I have limited experience. Looki...
