hey toddy
add two cups of coffee, 4 slices of bacon, two fried eggs, fried potatoes with sausage gravy over them, two slices of buttered toast and milling in alum. feeling your heart beat everytime it makes a deep cut hoping (fingers crossed) that the bit don't break and you got yourself a real 'widow' maker...

fun for now, but now the fun is over...I'm getting some new bits so I might try another one...
ran it with a 1mm ball, at apx 9000 rpm, at 60 mm per min, apx .4mm cut in, took 8 hours..so now you see what I mean about a 'widow' maker ..after 5-7 hrs you just keep praying the bit don't break...I took off the depth stopper on the bit so I couldn't change the bit if I had to.... next time I'll leave the stopper on and grab another bit as needed

Cool, I am trying out the bits I got on Ebay tonight, since I have 97 of them, I am hoping its not going to be lets see how many I can break before I get it right, night.

I need stock in Bits and Bits. I think I found their supplier by mistake, but a minimum order per size and style was 144, but they were like $10.00 opposed to $30.

Got it brewing in the back of my head, and becoming a milling tool supplier, then I wake up again.

actually bits and bits make their own bits and bits.....I know you bought them but I think you'll break them if you go too deep they don't work like the taperd ball end bits...snappy time!

it'll either be the bit or the mill  ..just kidding! don't you use the tapered ball end bits from b&b? one will last you forever

I go through one every few months or so, but I don a lot of milling.

I still mill at least every day, I was looking at my job box, and I have 11 to mill for customers.

3 for stock.

and working on a line of new jewelry that has 40 plus pieces in it, I am
doing at home. So I do one every other night when I can.

I use those tapers for 50% of all my milling. the end mills I bough from Ebay are .5mm, with a 6.5 mm draft. I use those for almost everything else.

Hi Pat,
The fisher spacepen company makes pen refills that do not fail. Freeze proof, heat proof space proof, write underwater etc

they only cost $5

I used to use zebra refills on my custom pen, and I can tell you that it is very annoying to pull out the custom, get people interested and then have the ink stop or worse leak..
