PS read on one of the forums about problems with curved text
have been using serif programs for 10yrs?
Serif Draw Plus has a wizard that will easily draw text to just about any curve and then export to several kinds of bitmaps and dxf files
also can break apart the text and rotate and/or move each letter

Welcome Larry!
Glad to have more new members in the forum. This is still a learning experience for us all (at least me anyway).
There are some members creating some awesome things. Be sure to check out the ftp site.
What kind of xp problems are you having? I am using xp (home version) and havent had a glitch yet.
regards,
Ken

Hey Larry

Glad to see you getting in on the board so quickly. Hope to see you post your results of your 1st 3d job. Also I am interested in the other programs that members have used in the past that would be applicable to the 3dwaxmill. Will Serif draw reshape a letter to say circle or hexagon.

See attached I would really like to find a program for monograms. Another big money maker for the 3dwaxmill to do. :!:

Welcome aboard Larry,
Having experiance with 2D should make the jump to 3D alot easier for you.
If you get stuck at any stage, just ask.

Welcome Larry to the club.... Oh Jeff, saw the monogram and am wondering. I gave my wife a Bernina embrodery machine for her birthday... the monograms that you show resemble what her machine will do. I wonder if we could modify a sewing program result for MDX-15-20'?
larry you can see that we are all in the learning curve. the electricity of the site makes our R&D move very fast....
also guys.... talked to a wax chemist recently, he used those plastic covers one gets with laundry dry cleaning to dissolve into proto-type plasti wax batches..... Welcome aboard Larry... winstone
