Welcome to the club. The best advice is to read through the posts and download some of the files to see how people have created reliefs, etc. I'd suggest a nice shop vac for the wax dust, too. Milling is addictive. If you have any questions just ask the group, they have been very helpful for me.
Good luck,

Welcome!
Welcome to M.A. (millers anonymous)Doug.
I think most of the guys here use the Ferris or Matt green slabs.
I've had burnout problems in the past with the green, so I prefer the blue. It's a little more flexible but mills great. I have been getting mine from Stuller, but most tool suppliers carry it and you can even request straight sizes if you don't want the assortment.
Bets Wishes!

Welcome Doug
Welcome Doug,
I'd suggest that you use the Ferris wax as opposed to the Kerr.
It's amazing the difference between the various brands of wax, when it comes to use in the mill.
Be sure to check out the forum, there's a wealth of information that's just waiting for you.
If you do get stuck, just post your problem & someone will be sure to have an answer.
Good Luck & I look forward to seeing you work.
regards Colin.

Hi Doug
It was a pleasure visiting with you in Tucson. Thanks for sharing your mystical flute with us. As everyone has stated keeping up with the club will make your experience with the 3dwaxmill successful for you. I look forward to seeing the jewelry you create and how you will apply it to your other talents.
