Made with Pat's flipper. 14ky and Silver.
customers "not matched" stones
about 1/2 hour design to sprue...Thanks Jeff!
(engraved and cut out on mill) sorry for the bad pic!
I picked up some Cameos in Rome and had a request to make a Roman inspired bezel. Let me know what you think.
Scanned in DrPizca, milled from modela, top bezel designed and milled in 3dengrave, cast in s/s, burnished rounds on side, and bezeled on top plate. Hopefully the next picture will be of better quality, advise is greatly appreciated.
This one is special. It was a 60th wedding anniversary gift for my banker and friend of many years. I started on 3dengrave at 8pm, had it milled and invested by 9;30 and finished it the next afternoon.
This was milled in two pieces, the band on the rotary and the bezel on the mill.

This was my first large project. My customer provided a photo and enough patience to allow me to get everything right. This is getting fun!
This was my first. Simple design my customer brought in. Used scanner, 3dengrave and my waxmill. I was lost at first but with the tutorials and the Forum I was able to muddle my way through. Thanks for eveyones help.
Fast one! just minutes turned on lathe (could have used the rotary) and ENGRAVED on Jeff's rotary Contour band just fell off! Just mag tumbled and rough emery....used a .003 spiral so slight taper in 3mm depth
A few years ago before the MDX-15 and the forum, this would have been a daunting task at best. Now we are able to make product with the best of them and best of all make money because we have the mill, forum, and the knowledge.
Large Emerald Pear Shape customer wanted it to be versatile.
To wear dressy or more casual.
30 minutes in 3d engrave, milled in a few hours, channels were dead on, refinished, set stones. about 2 hours 15 minutes work total, $665.00. Priceless. If you don't own one of these machines, well keep working too hard then, or ask me and I will do for you, seriously I will.

Would have had to carve this by hand, bitching and complaining all the time, but with the MDX and the 3D waxmill forum, I cleaned up a image, laid out just like suggested in the forum, started the mill, went home, came back with a finished wax ready to cast. Time to create in 3D Waxmill about 45 minutes.
Customer wanted to duplicate a pair costume earrings on 12-29-11 and wanted my New Years Eve. NO PROBLEM!!

Designed with beads in place, Milled, Cast in 18k yellow gold, Set 132 diamonds = 2.8 carats and delivered 12-31-11 at 2 pm.

Man o' Man, would have attempted this ring, and hated myself without the MDX and the great people on the forum. This is truly a combination of many different processes to make this ring. 2d Flat one pass milling, Top down milling, help from all you, my fellow millers!
